It doesn't look like this place is officially open for business, but from the outside it looks very nicely put together. The location is adorned with a few short paths/trails, lined with thick, dense foliage. There's a really old cabin that we walked into; complete with basic furnishings...bed was made and washcloth was next to the wash basin, etc. Additionally, there's an old orchard farmhouse and a beautiful water retention pool and spring next to the main building. The water in the spring (over the walkway) was so clear you could see the little red crayfish sitting on the bottom. The center is also the gateway to many beautiful Nevada shortcuts; however, many of these roads require 4-wheel drive....and I'm very serious. We just so happened to drive to Mormon Pass this afternoon as well and encountered some tough driving. In general, this visit makes for an interesting and insightful afternoon with friends, family, or just by yourself.
